I'm sorry to hear about your ectopic, it truly is a devastating experience.
As Mod1, after my first failed transfer, I wanted an aggressive approach and wanted no stones unturned. Every clinic is a little different but my advise is to do your research, read published articles and forums. Everything you come across that you feel might have a benefit for your next cycle, write them down and ask your doctor. We have to be our own advocates during this process because nobody wants to succeed as much as we do. As for the progesterone, I am on Crinone in the morning and injection (in the tummy) in the evening, which I have to continue until 12 weeks gestation. My levels were higher with this combined approach as opposed to just Crinone, so for me, it works better. This was one of many things I pushed for - my progesterone level to be checked as I had a suspicion I didn't absorb Crinone very well.
I wish you the best and ask anything, I still check in here as the conversation with lovely Mod1 was a great outlet for me during dark but also during happy times
Hi Kat, Thank you so much for your reply..it has really helped me. I am meeting my consultant on Thursday and want to see what he is going to do different next time round. I do have great confidence in him and the clinic I’m going to - I guess I’m just looking for some one to say you will be guaranteed this time if you go here, which is not the case. I know . You have given me hope - I wish you all the best and look forward to hearing the great news xxx
Hi Mod 1, Sorry I thought I thanked you in a messages but it didn’t save I see, I’m still trying to get used to this forum - excuse me! Thank you kindly for replying, as I await to Kat I am just looking for someone to tell me their clinic will work 100% . I am happy with my consultant and the clinic I guess when you don’t get what you want you try everything to succeed.
