I recently had a second ectopic and this time I had surgery to remove tube. How long did people wait. Hospital say wait two periods but I know rotunda said after 1. I’d prefer to start sooner but is it risky?
Hi! I am very sorry to hear this, I also went through 2 ep, and the waiting time before starting again feels endless. We also recommend two periods, mostly because your body needs to resettle from a hormonal point of view. As you did not have MTX, there is nothing technically preventing you from starting sooner, though it is not generally indicated. We would advise to try and focus on something that you can control, like a few weeks of exercise to get into better shape, maybe some good eating plan etc. and you will see that the time feels a bit faster. Wishing you all the very best!
hI again, no no, what I mean is that after a pregnancy, the hormones need to resettle, it may be that you first period is not regular or that ovulation does not happen (even though you have a period then). But no, there is no increased risk of miscarriage. Hugs!
