The progesterine will only be added before transfer (to mimic post ovulation hormone surge) and you'll be on it for a while even after a BFP! I personally never liked crinone, my favourite is cyclogest and I was also doing injections for good measure. given that this cycle has been shorter (may indicate low progestrone in the PO) and that you bled early last time even with progesterone I would definitely asked if you can try something else instead of crinone. Let me know!
hey mod1, thanks for that. I've got all my stuff now but I might ask at my next appointment. Thing is, I had some spotting a few days before AF kicked in properly on the last cycle - if I'd counted the spotting as day 1, I'd be bang on time. But they say to count the first day of "full flow" as day 1, so that's what I did. Oh I don't know. I don't want to obsess, so I'll just see how I get on... everything looked perfect at the scan (nurse said "very nice endometrium"!), and I started the HRT meds last night - 4 tablets every evening, easy peasy... now it's waiting for the side effects, OH on "alert" he he... next appointment on the 12th, hopefully I'll have a bit of an idea of time scale then.
Well, so far so good. Few slight headaches, but not sure if that's the meds or the fact that I'm still getting over the bug. Drinking tons of water, hopefully that'll help. Googled the side effects and headaches and tiredness seem to be pretty common. I think I can deal with that! :-)
Day 7 on meds, and not much to report. Feel like I'm falling apart at the moment - just over the bug, and now I've only managed to get an allergic reaction after a patch test for hair dye! just as well I did the patch test - I don't usually to them, but because I've never used that brand, plus the fact that I'm on meds, I thought better save than sorry! Skin around my eyes all dry and itchy and red. hopefully it will settle in a few days. I get the same reaction in my face when I use regular nail varnish, so there must be an ingredient that's the same. Other than that, all ok. pretty tired and a bit emotional. Can't wait for Friday. I'm doing visualisation every day - I imagine that there is a lovely fluffy blanket building up in my tummy, ready for the little embryo. I will continue that after the transfer, might sound funny, but it can't do any harm!
Hi Mod2 Sorry to hear you are unwell. Good job you did the patch test alright. I love the concept of visualisation, it's wonderful and very helpful. I did it before with regard to letting go, and i felt it really worked and helped. Take good care of yourself and hope all goes well on Friday. sunflower x.x.x.
Well, nearly there, scan tomorrow morning. I'm over the bug, and the allergic reaction has calmed down, I even managed to do a bit of exercise last night. We've decided to keep things a bit more quiet this time - as in just give general answers when people ask. Although I'm glad we are so open about our situation, not everyone needs to know exactly what's going on! If it works, they'll all find out soon enough.
Not sure if I will get a chance to post here tomorrow, as boss is coming for the day, but I'll update over the weekend if not.
Everything crossed for the scan tomorrow!! Drink plenty and keep your belly warm. I was pretty much the same, first time around even the walls knew then it became easier not to tell too much. Now I'm so open about how we conceived that i think I may put off people from chatting to me again!!
Thanks girls, well everything is looking perfect and we are ready to go. They are just checking my bloods and will call me back with transfer date this afternoon! It will be next week though, early next week I suspect (I hope). I think it's only starting to hit me now that we are going to do this again, so far all I've been doing is taking some tablets, it's like taking vitamins. Ooooh excited!!!
Righto just got the call, I'm booked in for Wednesday! Need to start Crinone when I get home and then another one tonight. At least I have another 2 days to get work organised so they can cope for a week without me!
