Righto, following my lap to have the remainder of my tubes clipped, we are now booked in for review on the 4th October, hoping to start our first frozen cycle in November. We have 7 lovely embryos waiting for us in the freezer, following our first IVF cycle in May.
I'm planning on keeping a sort of diary here, it might be of use to anyone undergoing IVF.
Well, we had our appointment this morning. The doctor is happy with how my surgery went, and talked us through the plan for the frozen cycle. He's happy with November. On day 29 now, so as soon as AF turns up I will book in for my pre-period scan. Then it's HRT medication from day 1, and then scans from day 12 until the lining is ready for transfer. We have decided to stick with one embryo for transfer, which is what the doctor recommended. There is a history of twins on both sides of our families, so it's still possible that the embryo will split after transfer anyway (they've had couples where they transferred 2 embryos and they ended up with triplets!). I'm happy with the plan, October should fly by anyway, will be travelling with work for a few days etc. Will keep you all posted.
Well AF turned up early. Rang hospital and they said it was ok to come for pre period scan on day 2 - tomorrow as planned. So it looks like things are going to happen about a week earlier than expected. I'm only on day 25, never get AF early, must be that bug I have that messed things up!
