I did a 3rd test on Sunday and it was positive!  I was in complete shock and a nervous wreck all week. I went for a scan yesterday and the gestational sac was clearly visible and, more importantly, in the right place! The doc said I am just about 5wks. I will go for another scan in two weeks. Can't believe it! I still feel very nervous and don't think I will really be able to enjoy it until I'm 100% sure everything is going ok. |

Ember!!! That is fantastic news! So so happy for you! It's so reassuring when I hear of other girls who have had ectopics getting pregnant. I went for blood tests the other day and have decided to stop using ovulation tests for a while. Too much pressure. I had my ectopic in december, I think u had yours around then too?

Thanks girls! It's still early days but me and hubby are very excited. Jenn, my ectopic was end of December and we were given the go-ahead to start ttc in May. I tried those ovulation tests in March thinking that I would try to pin-point my ovulation time before ttc. Ended up with a cycle over 8 weeks and the ovulation tests said I ovulated 4 weeks before AF...unlikely! So come May we decided to ditch the tests and just spend the entire cycle ttc. I think not focusing on those few days around ovulation helped to take the pressure off a little. Best of luck with your blood tests...I hope the doc has some positive news for you! |

Hi Jenn Everything is going fine. I'm due back for a scan at the end of this week so fingers crossed that will show that everything is on track. It's all still very surreal. I'm afraid to be happy about it and start every sentence about the future with "assuming everything goes ok". I really wish it was possible to just relax and enjoy it like other people do. I'm just trying to focus on the 12 week mark and maybe once I tell people it will be easier to relax a bit. I have a few pregnancy symptoms but the main one is hunger! It's out of control! No matter how big a meal I eat I will be starving in 1 hour. And I mean starving!! I was cooking pasta at 11:30 saturday morning. I even wake up in the middle of the night with hunger pangs. I'm worried about the doctor weighing me at my next visit Also I'm due next week for a full medical in work...trying to delay that for at least a few weeks since I'm not ready for everyone here to know and the medical center where I work is obliged to inform your boss if you're pregnant. Any news with you....did you get any feedback from your doctor on the blood tests you did?? Ember |

I had my second scan at 7 weeks and everything was perfect. Hearing the heartbeat was amazing!! My blood pressure was a little high but the doctor felt that was probably due to my nerves-I was a complete wreck! My next scan is booked already for 11wks. It feels much more real now and we're so excited |
